Presentation at Green Rio — Green Latin America 2023

The approach and first results of the AcroAlliance project were presented by Prof. Dr. Peter Eisner from Fraunhofer IVV and Dr. Thomas Hilger from the University of Hohenheim on September 1st, 2023 at the Green Rio conference — Green Latin America 2023 in Rio de Janeiro. AcroAlliance is a bilateral research cooperation between three Brazilian and two German institutions. Macaúba (𝘼𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙖 𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙖) is an interesting alternative to palm oil. The project aims to develop high value refined oils, proteins and dietary fibers from macaúba fruits, while addressing major gaps for the development of a sustainable macaúba value web.
